I’m a practical helper, I automatically and intuitively provide what is needed. I work quietly and quickly in the background doing what is needed before anyone can ask. I love to help make a birth go smoothly, without constant unmet needs popping up, creating more stress than is needed.
I have good knowledge and experience of fetal positioning, I feel like my whole purpose is sometimes to help a woman avoid an unnecessary C-section or instrumental birth by physically helping her to get her baby ideally aligned for an easy, comfortable birth. I love to help clients with breech, posterior and transverse babies, and have done so successfully many times.
I like to get my client to the point where the first thing she says is not “I couldn’t have done it without you” but rather “I DID IT!” I work hard towards empowering my clients and strengthening their belief in their own ability to give birth, and deepening their trust in their Creator who made them able to do what they need to do.
I had a horror C-section in a state hospital after a failed home birth, I spent many hours with my baby almost head on perineum, but stuck right there. So I really feel like I do not judge ANYONE’s experiences, desires, fears or hopes, the way I maybe used to. I feel I’m open to every possibility and respectful of every different birth plan.
